Tree installation includes site evaluation for soil conditions, drainage, canopy clearance, and wind exposure. We handle sourcing, delivery, placement, staking, and initial establishment care.
A mature tree is heavy and awkward, and most of the work happens before it reaches the ground. Which species suits a spot depends on how much room the canopy has to fill, how close the roots will sit to paving and pipework, and how exposed the property is to salt and wind. Once the tree is chosen, we source the specimen, arrange transport and plan the route onto the property, using a crane to set it when access or weight calls for it. The hole is dug to suit the root ball, not the other way around, the tree is set at the right depth, and the backfill is settled so the root ball is not left sitting in a bowl that holds water.
New trees and palms are staked or guyed until the roots take hold, which is what keeps them standing through a summer storm. Establishment watering is the part owners most often get wrong: a newly planted tree needs deep, regular soaking at the root ball, not whatever the lawn irrigation happens to throw at it. We set out what the watering should look like, and the staking comes off once the tree is holding itself up.
We evaluate each site for soil type, irrigation coverage, overhead clearance, and wind conditions before recommending species. Proper planting depth, soil amendment, and staking make the difference between a tree that struggles and one that establishes quickly.
